“My Redeemer Lives” is a vintage classic worship song from Hillsong Church, recorded in 2007 on the album “Saviour King”. Reuben Morgan, a Hillsong senior worship leader and songwriter, composed the song.
Drawn from th scripture Job 19:25 (“I know that my redeemer lives”), the song testifies to believing in Jesus’ resurrection and reign eternally. Within a short period, the song was a worldwide worship anthem and sung by churches all over the world.
A particularly notable performance is Hillsong’s “My Redeemer Lives (Victory)” from their album Awake of 2019, in a modern arrangement. The track is still a powerful statement of Christian hope.
